The importance of international web brands

Did you ever wonder why brands like Coca Cola and L'Oréal work all over the world?

Because no matter our culture - we pretty much want to buy the same things. So when you have a good brand, then sell it on websites that reach a larger audience than your local one. Offering products on English websites makes your sales potential grow 1 million times.

1. You can enhance your product by creating an international web brand.
Example: CocaCola's cocacolazero.com

2. You can create a web brand that becomes your product. Larger web brands can become Market Platforms with a high market value.
Example: e-bay.com.

3. You can create a web brand that makes people aware of your special knowledge - inspiring people to visit your premises.
Example: Bachelor of Science education at Florida's fullsail.com.

Innovation in e-services puts you ahead of the game

A high e-factor means that you take advantage of the Internet. You reach customers and clients by your website and you offer e-services, that can be ordered without you spending extra money in the sales process. A lot of things can be ordered - with a few clicks from your customers.

How do people choose what to buy?

The first things that comes to your b2c or b2b customers mind are:

How can I save money?
How can I save time?
How can I sell more?
How can I learn more?
How can I raise my income?
How can I meet the right people?
How can I feel better?
and so on...

So all in all - it is not your backend CMS system that is important to your customers - it is the content of the website that sells.

Stores, cultural sights, exhibitions and tourist attractions grow with e-business services

Website addresses are the ID's of the places we visit. When you place yourself on the Internet and make sure you speak to more than your local crowd, any service will grow in visitor numbers when you have a great website.

Customers need to have a good time on a website - this makes a website great. But they also need to be able to understand your public information. If you use a British flag somewhere to indicate english text - you have lost 80% of the world population who does not understand the meaning of that flag on your website. Create more websites with international names that speak to the customers and will spend the most money on you.

Good content on a website raises your e-factor

b2b and b2c services are advertised all over the place. Sometimes you see an ad or hear someone talk about a product and you might go on the Internet and look it up - sometimes you find it on the Internet first.

Either way - your customers only have a few seconds to decide if they like your product or not. So the challenge is: what makes a few seconds interesting?

Good experiences often last and good experiences can sell. What is a good experience then? A good experience on the Internet is:

Something eyecatching
Something you learn from
Something that makes you understand a product
Something that makes you want to take action.

So in order to raise your e-factor and make money you need to learn to handle innovative functionality, e-strategy and online advertisement subjects.

What about the language barrier and the logistics?

English is here to stay. 60% of the worlds population can read English. So write in English at a minimum and spice up your .eu or .com websites with bits of other languages and lots of photos that speak to your potential customers. Avoid using difficult language - remember that Internet texts should be easy to read. If you want to use many advanced words - then attach a report on your website as for example a PDF file.

Amazon.com and other large e-sellers have invested millions of dollars on warehouse facilities all over the world. If you do not have the finances for that - there are plenty of fulfilment offices all over the world that can assist you and service your customer in any language.

  One website - one product

A website promoting a single product is actually a very good idea. In order to prevent people from being confused about a product - you might as well invest in more website addresses that can promote single products and become a website brand by itself.

With a branded website you can begin to enhance the value of a single product by offering e-service that matches the product in some form. E-service can be advice or knowledge. Good advice on the Internet raises your e-factor and gives you more sale and profit.

If keeping large stock in foreign countries bothers you - then turn to e-services with a virtual product

Why not invent a brand new e-service that becomes your product. The sky is the limit since we are just beginning to understand the real potential of intelligent Internet solutions.

Secondlife.com, google.com, e-bay.com, myspace.com, flickr.com are good examples of e-service innovation. These examples are all American inventions and America is the country in the world that gains the most profit from innovative websites that reaches a global market.
